V. Terrace, garden and outdoor design

For me, outdoors are never just a matter of gardens, terraces or pavements. Rather, it is the realisation that the environment in which we live is constantly affecting us – our well-being, our energy levels, our daily quality of life and how we connect to our home.

V. Terrace, garden and outdoor design

A truly conscious home design therefore does not end with the design of interiors. At some point, it becomes a natural necessity for the same thoughtfulness, aesthetic quality and functionality to appear in the outdoors as well. In the garden. On the terrace. In the experience of arrival. In the rhythm of the shaded plants. The proportions of the pavements. In the operation of the outdoor living space.

I believe that a well-designed outdoor space is not a luxury, but a long-term investment in quality of life. A living system that determines the functioning and mood of a home for years or even decades. A well-thought-out outdoor concept can create a real ecosystem: A harmonious relationship between the built environment and nature.

In most cases, it is quite natural that during a construction or renovation, the design of the outdoor space does not take place in the first phase. Many families and property owners progress in stages: first the home itself is prepared, then later the design of the garden, fence, terrace or space cladding arrives. For this reason, forward-thinking, conscious planning becomes of paramount importance. A well-constructed outdoor concept is not only aesthetically valuable, but also helps to avoid subsequent compromises, problematic nooks and costly rethinks.

My goal in every project is to create outdoor living spaces that are not only spectacular, but truly liveable. Spaces that are naturally connected to the interior world of the home and into which it is a pleasure to step out at any time of the day or year.

Today, we know that a consciously designed terrace or garden is not just a seasonal accessory. A well-designed outdoor space can be actively used from March to November, and can even be made four-seasonal with appropriate solutions. This is not only a matter of convenience, but also part of a modern, conscious way of life.

Nowadays, the Longevity approach is not only about health-conscious eating or exercise, but also about the environment that surrounds us every day. Proximity to nature, visual harmony, well-functioning outdoor spaces and a green environment have been proven to contribute to mental and physical well-being.

A well-designed garden is not simply beautiful. He's alive. It's connected. It fills me up. And in the long run, it will become one of the most valuable parts of the home.
